SUMMARY:

This work is an argumentative dissertation that takes a historiographical approach to the literature of black women in the face of Western society domesticated by the social cost of the political project of coloniality. Therefore, we used two works, O Quarto de Despejo (1960) and Amada (1987), as the object of study to analyze the social, economic and cultural dimensions that the intellectual thought of Maria Carolina de Jesus and Toni Morrison, respectively, are important for the epistemic fragmentation of Eurocentric knowledge in relation to the expansion of an epistemologically black ontology. Between 1950 and 1980, the decades of the 20th century in which black social thought was boosted by black intellectuals, we can see in the research a historical moment of passage and transition, from a subalternized black women's literature, to the advent of a conceptually respected black women's literature, to the point of becoming classics of intellectual thought. Moving from a place of insignificance to canon. This historical moment was conducive to the construction of networks of symbolic connections in contemporary times. In a methodological approach based on Comparative History, we present the analyses we carried out from the perspective of Transnational History, which connected the authors even from different social places, Brazil and the USA; in a way, what we will call a network of emancipatory political communication, allowed us to recover in the literary texts, the memory and eyewitness testimony of literary historical heritage, which will be essential for understanding and maintaining a future history, the History and Literature of Presta Women in the struggle for social rights. We used the following theoretical references, Raymond Williams' Society and Culture (2001), Jeanne Gagnebin's Remembering, Writing and Forgetting (2009), Lelia Gonzalez's Black Place (2022), as well as historical sources, such as Carolina de Jesus' diary, which we found available at the National Digital Library, iconographic sources available on sites such as the Moreira Salles Institute or Getty.Images, etc.
